The work party weekend was a moderate success. A lot of work was completed by the volunteers. A new handrail was erected along the east wall, the gangway to the east pontoon was painted and new treads fitted. The east side cantilever arrangement and the west pontoon structure were repainted.
Lunch was enjoyed by everyone, a big thanks for the baguettes, beer and soup provided.
The efforts of everyone who lifted a paintbrush, saw, or welding rod is greatly appreciated. and the RAF flypast marking the occasion was a fitting touch.
